He’s back! We’re SO happy to tell you guys that Dylan O’Brien will definitely be back for Teen Wolf’s upcoming sixth season. In fact, we have photos of him on set and they’re just so glorious.

Despite suffering on-set injuries while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure back in March, Dylan will be very involved in Teen Wolf’s new season, playing a crucial role. The show’s creator, Jeff Davis, spoke to Entertainment Weekly and revealed that Stiles’ might be more important than ever this season.

“Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season’s mystery revolves around him,” Jeff said. “We’re going to see just what Stiles’ friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia. We’re going to see why exactly he’s Scott’s best friend, what it means that he’s Malia’s human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won’t-they relationship is with Lydia.”

In one specific photo, an EW exclusive, shows Dylan wearing a hand brace, but the photo was taken before his Maze Runner injury. But according to Jeff, it’s completely separate from the movie. “That is a Dylan O’Brien injury that was written into the show,” he said. “You’ll see what happens with that in the first episode.”

Not only was it super important for Dylan to return to Teen Wolf because duh – he’s STILES, but Jeff said that having him being front and center this season was always a part of the plan. “When we were going into discussing this season, knowing that Dylan O’Brien had a big movie he was going off to do, we wanted to make sure that Stiles was going to be very important part of Teen Wolf 6A,” he explained. “So a lot of this story is about Stiles.”

Teen Wolf is set to return to MTV this fall.
