Whitney Houston's Funeral Planned For This Saturday in New Jersey
Whitney Houston will be laid to rest one week after the passing on Saturday, according to Gossip Cop. The private funeral is planned at noon at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. This is a sentimental spot for the family since it’s the same church where Houston sang at while growing up.
While a public memorial at Newark’s Prudential Center was in the talks for fans to pay their respects to Houston, the funeral home has said that it is not in the plans, according to USA Today. Rumors were circulating that it was going to be a similar event as Michael Jackson’s public and televised memorial.
