Costner and Houston co-starred in the 1992 film The Bodyguard, in which Houston played a famous singer who is being harassed by a stalker. Costner played a former Secret Service agent who takes on the job of being Houston's bodyguard, falling in love with her along the way. The film grossed more than $400 million at the box office and the soundtrack, filled with songs sung by Houston herself, sold more than 44 million copies and remains the best-selling soundtrack of all-time.
In addition to Costner, famed record producer Clive Davis is also scheduled to speak at the funeral. Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder will sing at the service, as well. Houston's private funeral will be held this Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ, where Houston sang in the choir as a young woman.
Do you think Houston's fans will respect the family's privacy on Saturday or will they flock to the church to pay their respects despite the funeral being invite-only?
