While Promoting Season 3 of 'Bethenny Ever After,' Bethenny Frankel Reveals She Had a Miscarriage
Queen of reality TV Bethenny Frankel is back, as season three of her Bravo series Bethenny Ever After premieres tonight. But while promoting the show on Today this morning, Bethenny revealed some not-so-happily-ever-after news: she recently suffered a miscarriage.

After getting her start on The Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny landed her own reality show, first called Bethenny Getting Married and later Bethenny Ever After. The oddly-riveting series chronicles Bethenny's career as a chef/author/businesswoman as well as her home life with husband Jason Hoppy and their 21-month-old daughter Bryn. A running question on the show for the last two seasons has been whether or not Bethenny and Jason are going to add to their brood. Jason has always been all for it, but Bethenny, who is already in her 40s, has been less sure.
But when Today host Savannah Guthrie asked Bethenny that very question this morning, she got a much sadder answer than she was expecting. "It’s a very personal question," Bethenny said. "We were pregnant with a second baby, and at eight weeks, I miscarried." Bethenny went on to say that the experience -- which did not happen during the taping of the reality series -- made her feel "extreme sympathy" for women who suffer from infertility.

The news makes us Bethenny fans feel extreme sympathy towards her, as well. We love Bethenny because, though she's been through more tragedy and unhappy times than anyone should ever have to endure, she's managed to pull through and create a happy, successful, loving, and fun-filled life for herself.
As for whether they'll be trying again? "I’m not really thinking about it," she said. "Until you become a woman you don’t know the things that come with being a woman. And I’m 41, and I don’t know. It’s not really my choice. It’s not really my option. The window’s closing."
