LISTEN: John Mayer Releases 60-Second Teaser For His New Single 'Shadow Days'

John Mayer is making his comeback after his 2011 throat condition that caused him to cancel concert appearances and working on his new album Born And Raised. The singer posted a 60-second clip of his new single Shadow Days yesterday on his official Tumblr. He posted a message to his fans along with the clip and said, “Been looking forward to a post like this since October 14, 2010, the first day I started writing this group of songs…Enjoy.”

With John’s calming voice singing lyrics like “It sucks to be honest/ And it hurts to be real/ But it’s nice to make some love that I can finally feel,” it’s kind of hard not to fall in love, right? Plus, the music itself it’s pretty fantastic! It’s a big win in our book and we can’t wait to his new album to drop!

An official date for Born And Raised has yet to be released but we all can expect sometime this year. This will be Mayer’s first album since his 2009 hit Battle Studies.
