Katy Perry Backs Out of Her People's Choice Awards Appearance!
Everyone was anticipating Katy Perry’s first public appearance since her split from hubby Russell Brand during Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards. Well, sorry folks! It looks like KP has BACKED OUT of it at the last minute!
She took to her Twitter today and wrote, “Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People’s Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS”

As surprising as this news is, Katy just returned to the social networking site a few days ago to thank her fans for all their devoted love and support. “I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again,” she wrote. She also addressed the constant media attention, tweeting, “Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, "close sources" or my family.”
We have a very strong feeling that Russell has something to do with this. I mean, there were reports that he was uninvited from the show because of Katy! Can’t we all just get along? Hopefully these two will be able to patch things up sooner or later. Or at least be able to be in the same room together!
