2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards Biggest Upset: No Love For George Clooney!
George Clooney has been a major frontrunner this awards season for his role in The Descendants, but it was The Artist's Jean Dujardin who won big at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday January 29, it one of the night's most shocking upsets! Clooney's big film was also snubbed in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Motion Picture category by The Help.
After Clooney won the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) at the 2012 Golden Globes and The Descendants won for Best Motion Picture (Drama), all eyes were on the hunky actor to sweep the trophies this season, but let's break down why that might just not be the case.

We can't forget -- Dujardin was also a big winner at the Globes! He took the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Comedy) and The Artist won for Best Motion Picture (Comedy). With the Drama categories being taken a bit more seriously (and Clooney being, obviously, more well known), it is easy to overlook that Dujardin had an equally big night at the GG's. Plus, come on -- Clooney may look good, but for Dujardin to have created all this buzz without even talking (The Artist is a silent film), we've got to give him some credit!
One thing is certain -- the SAG Awards definitely created even more Oscar buzz than before as we try to predict who will take home the biggest honors that night. It looks like it will be another battle between Clooney and Dujardin again, and The Help should also have earned a spot on everybody's top picks list (not only did the movie take home the night's most coveted award, but Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer also won big at the SAG Awards).
So in a race between Clooney and Dujardin -- who would you pick?!
