It's no doubt that one of the hottest acts in music right now is teen queen Selena Gomez, which is why it comes as no surprise that Justin Bieber's girlfriend has been chosen to host the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards preshow!

Gomez arrived early in Los Angeles on Sundy August 28 for the event and has already been photographed on the black carpet! Selena rocked a lacy, black dress, short in the front with a long train, for her big hosting event. She paired the look with pointy gold shoes and is looking mature as ever with her hair in a gorgeous up-do. Gomez matched her shoes with a gold clutch and some gold & black bangle bracelets.
The Who Says singer is taking a break from her big summer Who Owns The Night tour to take part in the VMA's. She has been on the road all summer, being joined on certain tour dates by her just-as-famous boyfriend Justin Bieber. Speaking of Selena's boyfriend - he is also set to appear at tonight's award show! How cute would it be if we got to see Selena interview him on the black carpet!?
