2011 MTV VMAs The Highest Ranked Award Show...Ever!

If you tuned into the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28, then you know that quite a bit happened that left people talking. Now here’s something else to talk about: it was the highest rated award show for the network ever!

The Los Angeles Times reports that according to Nielson Co., rating for the crazy show was up 9 percent compared to last year’s big time. How many viewers tuned in exactly? 12.4 million – making it MTV’s most-watched telecast ever.

With performances from a pregnant Beyonce, a male Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Adele and having a tribute to Britney Spears, the show definitely did not disappoint.

    I thought this year's VMAs were great! Especially with the announcement of Beyonce's pregnancy!
