Done Deal! Britney Spears Glee Episode WILL Happen!!
Talks of a Britney Spears inspired Glee episode have been circulating after the pop star tweeted her hits should get a spot on the show.
Ryan Murphy confirmed earlier today that they are writing an episode that will feature Ms. Spears!
Although fans may be excited to see her catchy lyrics put to use, one cast member is apparently not!
The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, confirmed the news via Twitter today:
The show will not be featuring Ms. Spears herself, but her lusty lyrics will be worked into the show. Spears who says she "love[s]" Glee and its talented cast, has had fans tossing the idea around for her for awhile:
And though fans may be excited to see some of Brit-Brit's lyrics put to good use, Glee cast member Matthew Morrison will be singing the blues once he hears about it.
Morrison told UsMagazine.com last May, "I hope our show doesn't go along that route."
Over 13.5 million viewers tuned in to see the Madonna-inpsired episode last April!! Ratings like that are bound to happen again, and then Morrison will be singing "I'm A Slave 4 U" back to Britney! (Not that the show suffers from bad ratings by any means!)
Morrison will just have to face the music (literally), Britney is a major musical icon in the recording industry, so it's only fitting that her hits be featured on the show.
