Prom: The Celebrity Experience

Spring is here and what does that mean to teens?
PROM!!
Every teen, at least the ones I know, are preparing for one of the biggest nights of their high school lives,
celebrity high school students included. They're buying gowns, renting tuxedos, making hair and nail appointments, and renting limos to help enjoy a night that will be remembered forever.

Ever wonder if the stars we love go to the prom?
Well, here are a few stories our favorite stars shared with
TeenHollywood about their prom experiences:
Micha
el Steger - Navid from
90210:
My strongest prom memory is bad. I volunteered to be the big man. I'd just got my license and I'm like 'hey guys, I've got a jeep. I can fit a lot of you in and I'll take you to prom.' Everybody was like 'yeaaah!' But my date made me nervous and so I was driving to prom a nervous wreck. I'm like 'there's my exit.' 'No! That's not the street' so I veered back on the freeway. I could not focus. So I think by the time I got to the prom, I'd scared everyone driving like a maniac. On the way back nobody wanted to drive back with me.... even my date.
Tristan Wilds - Dixon
90210:
Michael has so many funny stories it's... not even funny. I was doing "The Wire" (on TV) and I was suppose to be going to prom and I didn't know if I would be able to go or not. They said, 'okay, you can go but you can't cut your hair.' So I had my hair all just weirded out. It was bad! I didn't even have time to ask for a date. They told me I could go to prom like a week before. Everybody was taken. I had to find a suit in a week. It was so bad.
Vanessa Hudgens -
High School Musical:
I did not go to prom. My only prom memory is High School Musical which was a big fake prom but I still go to get all dressed up and have a date (Zac) and have my best friends there. So, my memory is that it was a lot of fun!
Sterling Knight - Chad,
Sonny with a Chance:
Well, I did not go to prom. I started home-schooling as soon as I was halfway through ninth grade. That was so I could move out to California and start pushing my dream of becoming an actor. I really wasn't that upset about it. I knew, from a very young age, I wanted nothing to do with high school and these people and their problems that were.... well, everything was the end of the world for these people. It was very petty and naive and maybe, in hindsight, I shouldn't have been so up front about the fact that I thought it was naive and immature. It's not easy to make friends where you're telling people they're naive.

I did not go to my prom in high school or any other dance... I just wasn't into the whole dance scene, but I did spend a lot of time being a naive, fun-loving, immature teen. That, I wouldn't change for the world.
